Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David (1894-1972), King Edward VIII, 1936, Duke of Windsor, 1936-1972, and Bessie Wallis Warfield Simpson, 1896-1986, Duchess of Windsor, 1937-1986. Excellent condition vintage blue ballpoint ink signatures, Edward / Duke of Windsor and Wallis / Duchess of Windsor, on crested notepaper, 5½" x 2½".
Accompanied by a printed note from the Windsors' private secretary and the original mailing envelope, which bears the embossed stamp of Saint Yves, 350 Rue St. Honore, Paris. The envelope was postmarked in New York City February 16, 1959.
The printed note has a center vertical tear that runs about one-third of the distance from the bottom to the top of the note. The envelope has pencil postal markings but overall is in excellent condition; it was opened at the flap but not torn.
